Cameron's Book Review
The thing that I liked the most about this book was the storyline. It kept me interested because each event in the story led to a change in power on the farm. The pigs' power kept increasing because no animal dared question their leadership until the pigs were completely exempt from the rules. There are a wide range of different characters in the story. The pigs are selfish and manipulative, taking advantage of other animals sufferings. Some of the common animals like the horses and sheep are easily controlled and lack the intelligence to understand the pigs motives. One character couldn't live with the pigs being in control so she left the farm. I was impressed by George Orwell's ability to take a serious story from an event in history and retell it with animals on a farm. Back to Cameron's Main Page
